Lagun Bay: the most beautiful bay of Curaçao
The most beautiful bay of Curaçao is called the Lagun Bay. Rightly so. The Lagun Bay has a beautiful wide sandy beach that slopes gently into the water.
At the mouth of the bay, the water is only 4 meters deep. It is clear, calm water, excellent for swimming or snorkelling. The bay and especially along the rock walls are teeming with the most beautiful fish. You can also regularly find sea turtles here. Because the water is so clear you can see them well. The Lagun Bay is a well-known departure point for divers. Would you like to learn to dive or just give it a try? Two PADI Dive Schools are located at Lagun Bay. The local population also likes to use the bay; for example, swimming lessons are regularly given for school children. Every day you can see the fishermen sailing out. The fish is for sale fresh, directly from the fishermen.
Lagun
Lagun is a quiet fishing village about 30 kilometers from Willemstad (about 25 minutes drive from Hato airport). It is located on Lagun Bay and the Caribbean Sea.
Lagun is an authentic village, focused on the immediate needs of the local population. You will find peace, nature and a relaxed atmosphere.
Toko Konoshi is located in Lagun, a 3-minute walk from the Resort for all your daily needs. There is also a small Chinese restaurant in Lagun, aimed at 'take away' dishes.
At the Lagun Bay you will find cafeteria and restaurant Discover Diving. On the bay (next to the Resort) also the bar and restaurant of Bahia Inn. Bahia Inn also has a dive shop where you can buy everything for snorkeling and diving and make arrangements for diving lessons or a guided dive. m
There are several good restaurants in the area. For example at Westpunt, on the road between Westpunt and Barber and on the road between Lagun and Grote Berg.
For other shopping you can also go to the town of Barber, about a 10-minute drive away.
